Offers B.Tech degree courses in the following
branches
¢ Computer Science
and Engineering (Started in the year 1995)
¢ Information Technology
(Started in the year 2000).
A forerunner in the field of technology,
the department seeks to evolve towards excellence and to adapt itself
to the rapid advancements in specialized fields. The department has
consistently produced rank holders in University examinations every
year, including 2003-04. Many students of the department have made the
institution proud by winning software design contests at a national
level.
Lab Facilities
The department has four full-fledged
Computer labs. All machines are connected to internet (Band Width 160
kbps)
¢ Software Lab-I
with Novell Netware environment has been added up with software support
in RDBMS areas like ORACLE .Thirty client (windows) machines are connected
to the server.
¢ Software Lab-II gives training in LAN administration, software
exposures in SCO UNIX and Linux. Thirty client (Linux) machines are
connected to the server.
¢ The Software Lab-III
is equipped with an IBM server and an Acer 4700 server with full Dual
processor and RAID support. The lab is equipped with 40 multimedia systems.
The systems support platforms like Windows NT server, SQL server. All
machines are loaded with windows 2000 professional.
¢ Hardware lab:
students can do experiments in digital circuits and micro processors.
Student Associations
LANDSCAPE
LANDSCAPE is an association of the faculty
and students of the Computer Science Department. It conducts seminars
and technical lectures by reputed personalities in the industry.
Every year LANDSCAPE conducts programs
under the banner, DISHAA. It is students meet from all over the country,
which includes technical paper presentations, software contests and
technical quizzes.
ITSA
ITSA is an organization for students
of Information Technology. It conducts seminars on technical issues
and provides inter collegiate and industry-institute interaction through
technical festivals and exhibitions.
